I will say this--it is an obsession! Even when not actually painting I think about it most of the time.
Unfortunately I had to give up printmaking because of physical problems. This caused me much unhappiness.
It is rather difficult to describe my work. I started out as a realist, but gradually it became more abstract. At the present time, and for some years, I have been vacillating between the two styles, sometimes mixing them up, and that's where I am now. Naturally, form, color, and content are important but I guess I'm really a colorist at heart--and abstraction is my prime interest.
Of course we all know that any good representational picture has many abstract qualities.
