'In the Museum'

"Aphrodite: 'The Bartlett Head.' Greek, From Athens, found between the Greek and Roman Agoras. Athenian, Late Classical or early Hellenistic, about 325-300 B.C. in marble that came from the Greek Island of Paros. Close to the style of Praxitles, the head is a rare original example of the major late classical Sculpture known mostly from Roman Copies." Beyond can be seen the "Decorative Wall Paintings, Roman, about A.D. 50-70. from Pompeii. Late Third or Early Fourth Style. From the colonnaded courtyard (peristyle) of a villa in the seaside suburb of Pompeii (Contaado Bottaro) buried in the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in A.D. 79, and excavated in 1900-1901."
